If you’ve read the previous post on this blog or the funding roadmap, you are aware there is a call for projects due to be issued in early October.
We are organising a briefing day for those who are interested in this call. The briefing day will take place on Monday 11th of October at London House, Goodenough College in London. The entrance is on Mecklenburgh square.
The event will run from 10.30 – 4.30. The morning will be dedicated to presenting the various elements of the call and allowing for questions. The afternoon will be used to allow people to network and share advice on bidding for and running JISC projects and also allow for one on one sessions with JISC programme managers to explore questions and potential ideas in more detail. Discussion sessions are likely to include topics such as:
- Project management
- Tips for successful bids
- Effective collaboration
- Taking the open approach
- Dealing with legal issues
- Thinking about sustainability from the start
There will be a separate afternoon session for the activity data strand which will be used to explore the interesting work that is happening in this area and to allow for discussion of the major issues that might affect those planning to bid.
We hope this afternoon structure will prove useful and provide an opportunity for people to meet potential collaborators and explore issues that will help them in preparing bids.
